-calm- Tomotaka Yasui, STORE, Yuuki Ono, The Dokyuncompany 24th(thu) June-10th(sat) July 2010 11:00 - 19:00 Closed on Sunday, Monday and national Holiday Reception for the artist 24 June (thu) 17:30 - 19:30 Gest DJ Ton (space39°） ☆Space39°を軸に活動する、サウンドデザイナーTONのDJによる-calm-の主題に沿った音の演出を行います。 ☆アロマの香りで空間を演出するLES CoeURE NUEが-calm-の香りを作りました。 MEGUMI OGITA GALLERYでは、彫刻家の保井智貴を中心に、ファッションユニットSTORE、サウンドデザイナーの小野雄紀、 建築家のザ・ドキュンカンパニー代表、野口一将と共にコラボレーション展 -calm-を開催します。 保井は人物彫刻のたたずまいを通して静謐な空間を生み出すアーティストとして活動しています。その独特な空間を生み出して いる人物像は、乾漆という日本古来の伝統的な技法で、漆、麻布、石、螺鈿などの自然素材を中心に、等身大で制作されています。 今回の展示では保井の人物像から放たれる空気感をベースに、ファッション、音楽、建築と異なる分野のクリエイターが、 それぞれの-calm-を制作し、さらに微妙なバランスで画廊空間全体に一つの-calm-を作り上げます。 混沌とする現代社会の中、彼らが表現する-calm-を媒体として、人と人の繋がりと広がりを体現します。 The new exhibition - calm- is going to take place at MEGUMI OGITA GALLERY from 24th June - 10th July2010. Tomotaka Yasui (sculptor), STORE (fashion designers), Yuuki Ono (sound designer) and KazumasaNoguchi/ The dokyuncompany (architect) gathered under the theme of -calm- to present a silent yetdynamic spatial quality that would be transmitted through person to person inside of the gallery. Yasui creates life sized sculptures based on traditional techniques with Japanese domestic materialssuch as urushi, mother of pear, mineral pigment, metal powder, obsidia, marble,etc.Yasuiﾕs still human figure sculptures leave the signs of existence that are felt through the air.For this exhibition, two of his new pieces are going to be exhibited in order to provide us with an experience of -calm-.
